Dear Friends,
If India is to be saved, the villages are to be reached with the message of Jesus Christ. Most of India’s one billion population lives in the villages. Stark poverty, lack of basic facilities, illiteracy, witchcraft, idolatry and superstitions are the problems that beset them.
It is our responsibility and mission to save these souls by touching their lives with the love of Jesus. Keeping this in mind, I would like to introduce Abundant Life Association (ALA) and its initiatives in India. ALA was founded in 1999. In the formative days, we were supporting the pastors those who are engaged in the gospel. In 2001, we started to appoint our own ministries. ALA was registered as a charitable institution in 2006. Now it is the fastest growing indigenous church planting movements in India.
We focus North India specifically because it is a black hole in the heart of India. Only eight percent of churches in India are located in North India home to 45 percent of Indian population. Statistics show that 74 percent of all protestant churches in India are located in South India. If we look at the Christians in India 71 percent of the all Christians live in four South Indian states. And about 18 percent live in North East India and only 11 percent live in North.
For these initiatives to bear fruit, we need your support. What we aim is “each one teach one strategy”. Every evangelist must be an evangelist. Rom.10:15 says: “How shall they preach except they be sent?”
As you go through this, you will know more about our projects to reach the unreached.
Challenged for the future harvest.
Pr. Joy Abraham
